Drake Realty welcomed as Heart & Soul Gala sponsor
GREENSBORO, Ga. – October 9, 2019 – St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital is pleased to welcome Drake Realty Lake Area Inc., as a supporting sponsor of the 2020 Heart and Soul Gala to be held on Feb. 1.
Drake Realty was founded in October of 1991 by Glenn Drake and opened its Lake Oconee office in January of 2010. Drake founded the company after working in traditional real estate, primarily as an investor, but also with a passion to embrace new technology that could add value and save agents both time and commission.
Today, with more than 700 agents throughout Georgia, Drake Realty continues to thrive and innovate, and will soon open its second area office at Lake Sinclair. For example, Glenn and his wife, Bernadine, are founders of Bank Shot, a mobile app used throughout the United States that allows for electronic movement of checks to save agents and brokers time and money.
“Sponsoring the Heart and Soul Gala is a great way to support our local hospital and to give back to this wonderful community,” Glenn said. “We look forward to many more years working in real estate, here in Greene County, and our business will always be based on personal relationships. Likewise, health care is enhanced by technology but built on a foundation of personal relationships. Having such a great healthcare facility here in our community is a tremendous asset for our region.”
“We are so appreciative of Glenn and Bernie Drake for sponsoring the Gala and supporting the hospital,” says Sherri Kerstetter, chair of the Heart & Soul Gala organizing committee. “They have sponsored every Gala since 2016 and we could not be more honored to have their continued support for our 2020 Gala.”
