“We are thrilled that Boiler & Steam Performance has again signed on at the highest level of gala sponsorship,” said Sherri Kerstetter, chair of the gala planning committee. “Their generosity to our community and their support of our hospital’s healing mission over many years is second to none. We are deeply grateful.”

Since the introduction of St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital was first announced in 2012, Shirley and Barry have made a goal of supporting the hospital in any way possible.  Being both residents as well as business owners in the area, it was very obvious the community had a strong need for the best hospital and health care possible.  Being a cancer recoveree since 1994, they found themselves making many scheduled trips to Atlanta for Barry’s tests and treatments, so they well understand what others were faced with in similar situations.

The Richardson’s have been residents of the Lake area since 2000 and have had their businesses in Greensboro since 2004.  Boiler and Steam Performance (formerly B&S Piping) and Industrial Piping and Code Services, designs, builds and installs steam systems for the corrugated box industry throughout North America and occasionally beyond.  Since its founding in 1989, BSP has grown from two employees to 52, and recently was honored as Large Business of the Year for Greene County.  BSP is recognized throughout the corrugated box industry as being the number 1 supplier of steam systems in the industry.

“We encourage anyone that isn’t already supporters of our wonderful hospital to please consider doing so in the future. There are many worthwhile organizations that need support, but by helping support our hospital; you’re helping everyone in the community.”- Shirley Richardson

Shawn Pearson, vice president and part owner, has been with the companies for 12 years.  Shawn and his wife Laura moved here from Ohio 12 years ago.

“We are happy to be part of the community and to be contributors of St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital and all its efforts,” Shawn said.

“We look forward to Good Samaritan’s new expansion program and what the new, state of the art equipment will mean for our neighbors, friends and families,” said Barry. “We find that being supporters of the hospital, we support the entire community and its wellbeing.”

“We encourage anyone that isn’t already supporters of our wonderful hospital to please consider doing so in the future,” said Shirley. “There are many worthwhile organizations that need support, but by helping support our hospital; you’re helping everyone in the community.”
